About Me
Hi, I am Zeynep!
I’m currently pursuing my Master’s in Interaction Design at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, where I explore how design can improve the way people connect with digital products. With a background in Interior Architecture from Istanbul Technical University, I’ve learned to think both creatively and systematically, bringing structure, empathy, and curiosity into everything I design.
My architectural education shaped the way I approach problems, with both an analytical mindset and a design-driven perspective. Studying at a technical university taught me to balance functionality with aesthetics and create designs that not only look beautiful but also work beautifully. For me, every practical decision in design adds something to the overall visual harmony.
Empathy is at the center of how I design. I love getting to know what people need and turning those insights into user-centered solutions that make their lives easier and more intuitive. Understanding how people think and feel helps me create experiences that feel simple and natural.
I’m also a very curious person, and I enjoy diving deep into topics that catch my attention, sometimes too deep. I often find myself exploring different perspectives until everything starts to connect. Finding links between things that don’t seem related at first is something that always sparks new ideas for me.
I chose to focus on UX design because it brings together my design skills, educational background, and my interest in technology and innovation. It lets me use my creative and analytical side while staying close to the evolving digital world. I see UX as a space where I can keep learning, experimenting, and designing experiences that feel useful and meaningful to people.
Outside of design, I love discovering new places and cultures. I’ve always been fascinated by how history still shows up in today’s cities and how stories from the past shape what we see now. I also enjoy analog photography and sketching, they help me slow down, notice details, and remember the moments that inspire me.
